The Treasure Chest Give Back
to Local Community
The Treasure Chest believes in giving back within the local community. One of The Treasure Chest’s annual projects is the Milkbone Holiday Fundraiser which benefits FoCCAS (Friends of the Colleton County Animal Shelter). FoCCAS, organized in 2009, is a non-profit which supplements the Colleton County Animal Shelter through fundraising efforts and volunteer efforts.
According to FoCCAS, the dog bone fundraiser, sponsored by The Treasure Chest, was the single-largest business donation of the year, with proceeds from the fundraiser being earmarked by FoCCAS for education, spay and neuter programs along with rescue and adoption.
“We really appreciate what the Treasure Chest has done for FoCCAS with the dog bone fundraiser,” said Sarah Miller, FoCCAS representative in a recent interview. Over the past four years, they have raised over $8,850 for FoCCAS.”
Caulder, herself an animal lover, credited her loyal customers for supporting the fundraising drive over the holidays. “The Milkbone campaign has grown each of the three years thanks to our wonderful customers and the animal lovers who support FoCCAS,” said Caulder. “We love helping animals and supporting the efforts of the FoCCAS volunteers.”
